Accessible Housing

Accessible Housing

Housing and Resident Life welcomes students of all levels of ability. Accommodations for disabilities must be first directed to the Dixie State University Disability Resource Center. The Disability Resource Center will then partner with Housing and Resident Life to seek a solution that will meet the needs of the student.

Service and Assistance Animals

Students seeking accommodations for a service or assistance animal must first contact the Disability Resource Center. The Disability Resource Center will determine, on a case-by-case basis, whether bringing the animal to on-campus housing is a reasonable accommodation. Once the Disability Resource Center approves the animal, the Disability Resource Center will contact Housing and Resident Life and request that an accommodation be made. Students need to contact the Disability Resource Center at least seven (7) days prior to the need for accommodations.
